Parafin Wax Treatments New for Winter 2008
Treatments using warm paraffin wax are long established. In fact, they have been around since the early 1960's. They are an efficient way of helping to reduce swelling in joints and connective tissue and soothe the pain from arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, sprains, joint stiffness and sports related injuries. The treatment also helps to improve circulation and dry skin.
As a beauty treatment, this is a luxurious way of intensely moisturising the hands, feet, face and body making them feel soothed, hydrated and looking great, especially if you have very dry skin.
This treatment may be usefully combined with a Manicure or Pedicure, Solutions Prescriptive Facial or Body Treatments. The intensive treatments may be especially useful before a big day, such as a wedding or Party or just to treat yourself in the winter months.

The Treatment Procedures
The procedure (for hands and feet)
Hands & Feet are thoroughly covered in the paraffin wax, when the paraffin wax sets, it retains the heat and this warms, soothes and moisturises. The hands and/or feet are placed in single use socks or gloves and then into special mittens or booties to retain the warmth and intensify the moisturisation process.
After 15 minutes the paraffin is removed and the procedure is completed with a light massage and the application of a luxurious cream or oil.
The procedure (for Facial Mask)
Your face is covered with a protective gauze mask and warm paraffin wax is gently brushed over your entire face and neck area. As the paraffin wax slowly cools, the cleansing and deep moisturisation process begins.
After 15 minutes the gauze and paraffin wax are gently peeled away leaving you with gorgeous soft and smooth skin.
Your facial continues with a full face, neck and shoulder aromatherapy massage and finished with toning and moisturising of your skin.
The procedure (for Back, Neck & Shoulders)
After/during your treatment your back (and neck and shoulders) is covered with a lovely thick coating of the peach or lavender paraffin wax and covered with a special plastic wrap for your body. This process retains the heat of the paraffin wax ensuring your body receives the full benefits from this indulgent treatment.
Next your body is covered by a large fluffy towel to again retain as much heat as possible and intensify the moisturisation process.
After 15 minutes the paraffin wax is removed and your treatment continued.
